Thats exactly what I said ..... There is nothing wrong with this bird either it's just its colouration , they produce very nice babies also.Very healthy indeed and bright eyed!!

Is there a cockateil known as a normal pied with yellow sufficon ? I need help on this as i carnt find any info on it Also can people help me out with prices of birds in Queensland ,, thanks

What you're describing is a pearl pied. Each feather has an suffusion of yellow on the edge. If the bird is a normal pearl pied, it will be grey with the yellow on the edge of each feather. If it's a cinnamon pearl pied, it'll have the cinnamon, with the yellow suffusion (pearling) on each feather. I have a pair. My cock is a cinnamon, and the hen is a normal. They've had some really pretty babies. Some birds aren't covered in the pearling, others are. Cockbirds usually loose their pearling markings at their first moult (around three months old), but they still carry the pearling gene. I hope I've explained myself clearly enough. I looked for pictures, but they wouldn't work.
