What a load of cobblers, just because a bird is a brighter yellow doesn't mean there is something wrong with it. Some birds just produce more melanin than others & yes sometimes it can be an indication of liver damage, but it most cases that is the color of the birds. I have quite a few tiels here that are a very bright yellow & they have been vet checked & their is nothing wrong with them. If your bird is healthy & bright eyed then I wouldn't worry about it. Geez you get all shades of cinnamon, silvers, & other colors but just because some are brighter or duller doesn't mean something is wrong with them. Sorry my two bobs worth. Regards Anna
