I have a chick with a deformaty of the beak and the other with a foot/toe problem, probably as a result of inbreeding down the line with the parents. (I bought them as a pair but now I've split them up ) Can I breed from the chick to a totally unrelated mate and have no deformaties or problems? I don't think 'beakless' will make a good mum, but I just want to know if it is genetically wise.

Hi Jacquie I wouldn't breed with it as you will probably pass on some genetic defiecencies and it's probably highly likely that the chick will be infertile anyway! Frank
