Hey everyone, I noticed today that my lastest albino cockatiel (photo in photos section a few weeks ago) was singing away and tapping on the wall so I'm reasonably certain that I have my first albino cockbird. My trick question if anyone can help is who would be a suitable partner in the future for him? I have an unrelated albino hen but even my genetics book doesn't show me any pairs of albino to albino. Thanks if you can help!

Albino to Albino would give you Albino, I am going to put a white face pied cock to an Albino hen that should give me some nice white face birds plus some Albino, I'm not sure of the split up of the offspring will be but I should Imagine that the reverse pairing would give you the same.

Cool thanks John, I might breed with him next year. Its definately a steep learning curve all this genetics business but makes more sense as you can see it in practice.

Isn't it ever a learning curve, and confusing too I can never work out how to use those genetic calculators that are on the net. But never mind we will get there and eventually work it all out ;D

Yeah I had a look at one of those a while back but could not get sense out of it. I tried to put in the parents that I have and know the chicks results I get, but no way did it correspond to the calculator.
