Yep.....went out to do my aviary clean today and I got the chance to peek in the nest boxes.........my goodness each box has got five eggs.......wow  they only had two and three last season. Looks like they have been busy  this time around. Lots of wee baby heads to kiss  Debs |

Hey......you know...I think it's just like an early christmas
coz there are all these egg presents and we are all busting to see wots inside and wot we are getting ;D

Well after my disaster the other day with the hen killing all the babies I was in the budgie aviary cleaning out all the nesting boxes this morning and here was a brand new little baby, really a new arrivial, last night I think, and she is sitting on another six eggs. It is a different hen that did all the killing so I will be keeping a close eye on this lot. I'm right in the middle of restocking my budgie blood line at the moment and got a couple of nice ones yesterday, Ill post pics when i get a chance.

Hi john It's so sad when we loose our little ones like that, theres not much you can do other than moving on...... I'm glad you got a nice treat in finding the newbee and more eggs.......have any more hatched  Yesterday (sunday) I thought I would check my tiel nests just to keep an eye on them and there was a wee hours old....I'll be out today again to see if more have hatched.......and by the way this is the new girl that I just got.....she laid eggs the first week she was in my avairy and I thought that she might be laying infertiles......welllll looks like they are ok. Ill post a pic in the photo section a bit later on. Cheers Debs |

I checked again this morning and now there are two babies so it looks like she is on a role and bieng true to form hatching a baby every second day.
