I had a look in my lovebird's nesting box today to see if there was any babies in it and there were 2. The hen had laid 5 eggs and only hatched 2 which is ok considering this is only the second time she has ever bred. I will be expecting more from her next time lol. I will keep you posted on how the little fellas are going

Dont you just love the baby love birds....I have a few as well in the nest and hand raising 7 of them..I think they are so sweet to hand raise .. Natalie

What type of love birds are they Jeremy, I have hens sitting on eggs at the moment both are mask hens and are due to hatch in a few days.

They are peachfaced lovebirds. I'm not sure but i think the cock is some sort of pastel blue pied, he is mainly yellow with bits of blue on him and he also has a streak of violet on his tail. I'm also not too sure about what the hen is either, she is lutino with a green wash but there isn't much green on her.
