Anyone tell me what a good combination would be . I have a cinnamon Hen ringneck. What would I put with her ? Also, what goes good with a Silver? And whats the cost of a silver these days in Queensland, 2004 breed. I would of thought that the flasher colours wouldn't be good handraised as normally only the breeders know the value in a more exspensive colour and are only looking for an avairy bred..For instance, a private buyer wouldn't care if it was split to something or even a silver. A private buyer sees a colour, likes it and buys it..The more flashier, are only valuable to a breeder in my opinion. What do others reckon? Also Can anyone put up a list of the Ringnecks in order from the least exspensive, starting from greens working all the way up to the more exspensive ? Thanks

Silvers are going for about $150 here in QLD. It is a shame considering they were as much as $700 just 2 years ago.
Least expensive to most expensive: Green Blue Grey Grey Green Lutino Skyblue Silver Cinnamon Gold Olive Pastel Varieties Lacewing Varieties Violet

Hey Jeremy I thought it went green lutino then blue grey and so on.... I didn't know that a blue and a grey was worth more than a lutino.. Green Lutino Blue Grey Albino Grey Green I thought it went like this Anyone got any opinons on this What prices as well Jeremy would you think for these colors handraised ? How many pairs of Ringnecks do you currently breed? Have you had any that have had babies and you've pulled them out for handraising and they've layed again ? I have a pair of green/blues and they had 5 eggs, she dropped one and only one out of the remaining 4 hatched, the others were not fertile I have seen them mating again so she may go down again and may be they will all be fertile this time. What I think she's doing is mating with her partner the once and then going into her box and laying each egg daily or every two days but she never comes out after laying one egg. So this is why they're not fertile. Norti Birds

I have 3 pairs and they are all sitting on eggs. Two pairs layed eggs a few weeks ago but they were all infertile so i threw them out and they have all gone back down again

ball park figures for handrared ringies if your selling them privately...not to petshops. if you stay under what petshops sell them for you should sell the babies.. lutino $100 - $150 grey green $130 - $160 blue $160 - $220 grey $ 180 - $240 albino $200 - $260 any in the cinn range i would start at 250+ pastel blue or grey, if i was selling them i would start at $400 for a handraised bird.. these are around the sort of figures i will be working from this year.. just remember if you sell a good quality very quite bird they are worth the $$ you ask.. im not saying all petshops neglect there birds to a degree.. but from what ive seen they dont get much attention.. up here anyway.. but i will definetly be guaranteeing mine and if they are split to anything... cheers
