Ok Believe this I have a pair of lutino ringnecks that layed 3 eggs. Out of all my ringnecks I didn't really see her go in the nest box and sit. Anyway, day 30 came and I thought oh stuff it I'll leave them there longer because the eggs did look fertile and they were that greyish colour.Anyway day 46 came and I thought I'd go out and get rid of the eggs and low and behold 2 of the eggs had hatched....2 days later the 3rd egg had hatched. How about that one Haven't had that before. Lucky I left the eggs there for those longer days.... has anyone had this before... ?

Wow that is a long time, I wonder if for some reason the embroyo didn't start to form at first (or something like that).

Some birds don't sit on the eggs straight away, an egg can last up to 14 days without the Hen sitting on them, she may have started incubation quite late. I haven't had it happen to me but i have heard all about it. Congrats on the new babies
