hi, we have a 3day old ringneck that was rejected by parents( first time mum who obviously couldnt cope with that many) we have it currently in the brooder but help is needed as we have no experience with birds this young!!! bit stressed!! anyway has taken to spoonlike a pro, this arvo i noticed it has food in the crop, followed by air above( i assume air as its clear) that also goes nr shoulders. we gentle massage some out but cannot get all. any help greatly appreciated _

The air around his shoulders is a worry and you should really make sure you get rid of that, gently massage it away even though it takes a lot of doing however if it gets too much as i said you may have to prick it. I would try to get the bird to feed from a syringe rather than a spoon that way it will not get as much air. Let us know how you go with the feeding. John
