I have started setting up for next breeding season, don't laugh I know it's a long way off yet, I have sold all my peachface, sorry Robert and Angel, and i am now dedicating their aviary to Cockatiels. I have a beautiful male white face pied and an Albino hen that I have paired up and Aussie, the Cockatiel that carries the name of this forum and who I bred some twelve months ago, has come back home and she has now been paired with another Albino male that i got yesterday, Aussie is a pearl pied and she is the same marking as the last lot of birds I posted pictures of here. So that leaves me with my main aviary with one breeding pair of Cockatiels and a pair of Princess Parrots, who are sitting on six eggs again and three pair of breeding Red Rumps, I am thinking of perhaps doing away with my budgies and putting my breeding pair of Cockatiels in that aviary but thats only a thought at the moment. Yep that's her, she seems to be settling in to aviary life OK, the cock bird we got for her even seems to be taking a bit of interest, hopefully everything will work out fine.

Well done John, that's super planning! I hope your Princess's are more successful this time! I have put mine in a mixed aviary till I get something organised but they're settling in well and are now first into the fresh vegies I bring in every morning. I was sprinkling last weekend and the Princess's were hanging upside down with their wings spred to catch the water! They're the most lovely birds!

That depends on the species of bird Shannon, budgies will breed all year round same with love birds, most finches will also breed when they want to especially zebra's. Cockatiels will also breed all year if you let them but some breeders take the nest boxes out around Christmas time and don't put them back in again until June or July some times later.
Some birds have a set breeding season and won't breed until that season comes around, so it depends on what you have Shannon.
