Can I breed a normal scarlet male to a blue fronted scarlet hen ?
this i am unsure of the outcomes. obviously it does happen and that is HOW we achieve all these mutations in the first place but this breed is new to me so I am just asking.
please if anyone can help that would be great.
thanks

Don't look at me I haven't bred neo's.....yet But no reason why you can't mix your colours up,I am doing a blue/green Princess breeding this coming season...well the birds will be (hopefully). If I could find some reasonably priced birds I'd be happy. LOL

Hi Seb
Are your Princess Parrots split to blue, or do you have pure blues? My male is split to blue but was too young to breed last year. I'm hoping if I put him with my green hen, something might happen. On the other hand.........I was thinking of buying a pair of green, split to blue from the Castle Hill markets and putting them together. Decisions, decisions (and the hip pocket).

What price are they asking for splits Laraine? I am thinking of doing the same thing.

My blue is a straight blue...not sure on the hen (she isn't giving anything away as she she looks normal).
Have been keeping an eye out for respective colour partners for them but alas everything in interstate so far OR the opp to what I want.

Not sure of the prices of splits. I'm going to the bird markets this Sunday, I'll have a look. Is it the blue you are looking for?
