Here's a good dry mix that I use for my lorries. They love it and certainly let me know when they want more of it.
500g of Polenta 500g of Semolina 500g of Raw Sugar 500g of Glucose or Dextrose powder 2 packets of 375g Rice Flour 300g box of Arrowroot 2 packets of 125g high protein multigrain powdered baby food 1 cup of powdered milk
This gives you about 3.5 kilos of mix. You can add multi vitamin powder to it if you want and I sometimes add apple sauce/ baby apple to make it a wet mix.
Hope this helps
Cheers Viraba

Well Viraba I made up the dry mix recipe, the only thing I couldn't get was arrowroot so in desperation I crushed up arrowroot biscuits. I will try the aviary lorikeets on it tomorrow but my pet upstairs seems fine with it so here's hoping. It worked out a bit cheaper too.

Ollie, that's great. I hope your guys like it.........mine do. I haven't had any problems finding arrowroot in the cooking section of the supermarkets, noramlly around where the flours are (near the bicarb soda or rice flour) !!
Tells you how much I buy it doesn't it. I can walk straight into my supermarket and put my hand on all these ingredients in about 5 minutes ........
Cheers viraba

Well a week on the new mix and no complaints so far I think we are on a winner here Viraba. Will look harder for the arrowroot next time. i must admit took me a while to find everything but next time I should be right.!! I even mixed some up with apple sauce for the babies and that went over a treat

I get the high protein baby food from any supermarket in the baby food section. Don't know if you can get it in bulk from anywhere, depends on how many lorikeets you have I guess.
