All sounds good to me..But do watch the peanuts but...make shore they are fresh..they can carry mold..even the the shell..Try almonds, bralzan ,all the ones you get in a xmas mix is great...pine nuts they will love..not saying the pine trees ones...they can be very dear...But the pine cones do make great toys...The seed that I feed to all mine big or small is peach face or cockateil mix...Some crit as well, which you could mix some in with seed ..that will save you a dish..there is a lot of information in the forum here about food..so have a look around..and yes you can feed passionfruit and kiwi fruit..even strawberry, black berrys,rasp,blue..mango' pawpa ,watermelon....there is heap of thing...

Hi Tara We've found that our sun conures love grapes, apples and dehydrated pineapple. We've also noticed that they eat more from bowls that are up higher rather than those lower or on the floor. Have you got a happy hut ready? The love to sleep in them and it is so cute to see them asleep in them.

i will be laybying his bird cage, play gym, toys, and his bed in february. i can't wait i wish the months go by quick. I'm on the net every day looking at pictures of sun conures and reading up about them. I'm thinking of owning the sun conure for a year or more and see how i go before i get another bird. I also want to make sure i have plenty of time as i have 1 4ft tank with 1 tiger oscar,1 salmontail catfish, and 2 angelfish. 2 2ft tanks in one i have 2 electric yellows in the other i have 1 male siamese fighter,1 female siamese fighter,1 paradise fish,2 peppered catfish, and 5 bristlenose catfish. I have to clean out the 2 2ft tanks conpletely once a week i just do water changes with the 4ft i take 9 to 10,10litre buckets out and put fresh water in. I also have a dog that needs brushing once a week and taken for a walk every day. I'm home all the time so it doesn't matter.

Tara I think this conure of yours is going to be spoilt rotten, I just love reading all the things you have planed for him, Good on you…had to have a laugh at your last post, I have fish tanks as well, yep I know what you mean about water changes, filter cleans etc, it can take up a whole day if I let it

thanks deb i want to make sure my bird is going to be happy. All my animals are spoilt even my fish lol. later on i might decide to stick with the sun conure or might get another bird, depends one bird means more love i can give to him and spoil him more 2 birds mean that they will have to share my love and both be spoilt. Thats why i want to keep the sun conure for awhile and see how i i go with the 1 bird,3 fish tanks,1 cat,and 1 dog. I have decided i'm going to do water changers on the 4ft tank once a week and give it a complete clean out every 4 months cause oscars can be messy fish.
