i am currently handraising ringnecks and the last 2 days one of them is throwing up twice after it's feed. it's not throwing up all of it just little bits.
I might reduce the amount he/she has. Maybe i am giving it to much.... They are getting about 8 - 10ml this bird is about 18 days old.. I can't see why it's doing this all of a sudden as it is use to this amount. Any immediate advice would help.... I haven't had this happen to me before....

Hi Honeyandthebee, I not really sure why it is doing it so young, but this did happen to me last year when I was h/rearing 4 at once but they were only doing it in the box I kept them in & it freaked me out, but I sought advise from an avian vet & apparently they were trying to feed each other. Don't know if this is the reason. Is it doing it straight after you feed it or is it happening later. Hopefully you might get some more advise as to why this is happening, but try reducing the amount & see if this will make a difference. Cheers Anna

well I gave him half the amount he usually has and he didn't throw it back up..Maybe I was over feeding him, but don't understand why he did this as he is use to this amount.... Oh well, he's ok now thank goodness. I'm doing so many and when one gets something it's a terrible fright, because they could all get it and all die or ? Thanks For your advice....
