Same rules here. Especially if it is native wildlife. You have to check the pouches of roos for young as well. Not many people are aware of the rules though and I don't think they are strongly policed.
Also if you hit a dog and it causes damage to YOUR vehicle you can ask/sue the owners for compensation because all dogs are not meant to be wandering!

hi all i can say is great driving vicki cant hit the galahs. glad you are safe but you do have to be careful when they are around jamie
