Sorry Frank but you are .....r...r.....r....rong.........mum is a cinnamon pearl wf lutino!LOL...couldn't resist! Hard to say that rrrr word to someone that knows so much more than me!!! I guess you were partially right about mum and her being a cinnamon. This chick is my favourite...so cute and friendly ...not sure if I have a use for it in my breeding program or not. Any suggestions Frank?..a keeper or no.....and if I keep what should I put it with....options of both sexes please!! Gee I don't ask much do I???LOL If it is a male it will be split lutino pearl pied and wf(of course). If a hen then it is split pied and wf. Thanks Jo-Anne

Sorry Jo i thought you said mum was a Albino anyway I apologise and am very glad you set me straight. Regarding keepers i would probably keep all the males out of this clutch and the one in the photo looks very healthy if it is male i would prepare him for next year to be bred with an Albino hen preferably Pied then you have the genetics to produce Pastelface Lutino Pieds in both males and females and Pastelface Cinnamon Lutinos. If they didn,t carry Cinnamon then you could have also put (him) to a Wface Platinum hen to produce Pastelface Platinos. If they all turn out hens then i probably would keep the best and sell the rest and place her to Wfaced Cinn Pied male, cheers and sorry Jo :'(Frank

Thankyou for that Frank! There is only the one visual cinnamon so if any of the ohers are hens should i keep one of platinum wf split pied chicks to put with her. The platino wf chick seems very sparse in the feather department on the head so far......a first ever bald spot from the platinums...even their wf lutino chicks had perfect head coverage. I could always put the platinum pair down again and try for another wf platino...it will be split pied and possibly pearl too...what do you think? Jo-Anne

That all sounds ok to me Jo are you sure it has been plucked by the parents otherwise you choice would be perfect, with future breeding of this pair would give you a sexable clutch cheers Frank

So by the perfect pair you mean a wf platino with a pastelface non-cinnamon hen? I am sure it hasn't been plucked! There are no signs of feathers at all and the other chicks are all perfect. They have had wflutino chicks before and they have been perfect also so I don't see why they would pluck this one. Also I do have a pair that give me wf cinn pearl lutino hens. They have 4 eggs due to hatch now. How would one of those go with the cinn pastelface male? The only thing is any wf lutino hen chick from that pair would be a half sister to the cinn pastelface males mother...is that too close to breed? Have I confused the hell outta you yet???LOL

Yes to the first question and that 2nd combination would also be good Jo i don't have problem breeding those lines half brother or sister it's not much of a threat. The male cinn pastelface i'm assuming is also split to lutino coz of mum so that pairing would produce ckicks all wface and Pastelface Cinnamons with some Albino-Cinnamon males and females in both pastel and wface. good choice cheers frank
