Dark pearl

Here is a pic of one of my pearl pied chicks. It is the lightest patterned pied I have ever got but it is also the darkest yellow. It has virtually no white...wingbars are even yellow. I have been told these birds are good to keep for future breeding of dark yellow pieds. I also have a wf split pied chick that is alsmost black ...very dark as well. Am I correct in thinking that combining these 2 birds will give me very yellow pearl pieds or am I mistaken. Thanks
