Hi Bill Yes the chick in question is a Platinum Pied a very light Pied i might add as the yellow flights are evident,also the chick is showing a heavy yellow suffusion on it's back almost giving it a greenish effect very stunning, the Platinum varieties always grab me cheers! Frank

Bill for starters a Platino can only be male its vey unique as 2 sex linked genes become alles and are genetically Platinum-Lutinos.They are a lot lighter than normal Platinum and a bit darker than Lutino's if you pair a Platinum cock or hen to a Lutino cock or hen all males born will be Platino cheers Frank

frank so if the male is split platinum and the female is a lutino does the same rules apply eg the males will be a platino even tho the male is split regards bill

Nice photos...I just love the platuims....I have a few as well...But one thing Bill,that colour is just not you...I would have gone with a more earthly tone nail polish ;D

Yes Bill the same genetics apply the only difference is not all males will be Platino some males will be normal split Lutino and some males will be Platino!! cheers Frank
