Hi Tracey, I was always led to believe that princess parrots are not good talkers but ours is one of our best talkers & picks up new words very easily. Mind you she does have 2 male Indian ringnecks & 9 male tiels all in our pet bird room, so I guess she has lots to listen to as they all talk & whistle, even the ringnecks wolf whistle. She really never shuts up all day & it makes an interesting day when they all decide to talk at once LOL . Cheers Anna

The behaviour your bird shows is pretty similar to my female rainbow lorikeet - and she's in love with my 14 year old son! lol Sounds like your bird has decided your hubby is her mate, and you are the enemy! Be sure to be the one to always feed her, and give her treats - don't let your hubby do this. And don't let him accidentally do mating behaviour with her - stroking on tummy etc!

Hah hah hah too late for that one Lin. If she doesn't get her pats from hubby she pecks him LOL. I do give her special treats but she has been like this since about 8 months old. She has decided hubby is her mate & I am the enemy, so he spends the quality time with her with me out of the room She is just like a little pussy cat cat in his hands, & I swear if parrots could purr she would be doing it, so who I am to interfere with this romance ;D ;D. I recognized the behavior & I really did try but was not happy about being bitten on the face or neck all the time, so she has become hubby's little princess LOL. Thanks for your impute, it is very much appreciated but I have lost the battle with this one, which is unlike me, but enough was enough. Cheers Anna
