Tookie is changing every day. His feathers are starting to cover up nicely where the parent birds feather plucked his back and head. Its a differents what a good hand rearing formula does.

Well, the good news is Tookie hasn't been plucked by mum or dad. We took Tookie to the Avian vet and he said Took is possably a few days younger than we thought, and that he/she may be a little slower in developing. other than that he said Took is very healthy and very hapy little bird, and to keep up what we are doing. It's always erassring when a vet tells you that. Also, although the vet isn't sure, but Tookie is not a normal gray. So we wait and see.

Hi Hillcresttiels, yes, there is a hint of yellow around the "shoulder" area. Took's mother is a pearl, and father is a white headed grey. Whatever colour he/she turns out, I'm sure Took will be a cutie. Pippin has been very inerested to.

Hi Jill, Pippin and Tookie aer doing well. Tookie was younger than we thought, and his/her development is different to Pippin so it's hard to compare, which we were doing to start with. Eliza, Tookie's owner, decided to keep buddy, the Galah and has now got a girlfriend for him, although she is in quarantine for a while, then they will get to be closer before hopefully sharing buddy's large aviary. Unfurtunately it's 36c at the moment so all are getting a cool shower, ecept Tookie, who we don't want to give a chill to. Slognoth & Pippin
