Oh my how beautiful, no wonder you are so proud. Isn't it funny how they can melt your heart. Are you a birdaholic, if so maybe a sign needs to be worn before entering any pet shops that reads, please do not serve me. ;D

Who could have resisted that sweet face Yep have to agree with waddles, definately need a sign when walking into pet shops now, please don't serve me. Probably one of the reasons I don't go to pet shops anymore as there is just too much temptation for someone with an addiction. ;D Hope you have lots of happy times with your new bird. Cheers Anna

Jill, how old is he? Judging by the amount of yellow i would say that he is mature

I don't know how old, I'll have to ring and ask them, do you think it's mature..I don't know what sex either, they didn't get him DNA'd, I'll have to get that done as well as I would like to get another, I'm not 100% sure of there diet either, I gave him seed, pellets and fruit & veges, he went for the grapes, apple and passion fruit... Is there a club Polly Parrot, is there a cure...I specifically go there with just enough cash to get what I need, but because I wanted a cage, I had extra.. Here's his side, do you think he's mature..

Jill to me that sun conure looks mature as when there young they are more green. To answer your question that was on the other thread about sexing them. What i read there is no possitive way to sex them without a dna but you could take a guess by the head shape males will have a squarer head and flatter forehead. females will have a rounder and smaller head then the males.

hi jill it's hard to tell its maturity by the lack of green feathers. yes it could be mature,it could also be the pied/golden version. like mine in the pics, that are fledged with more yellow than green. and or varying amounts thereof. is it possible of you to post a pic of snoopy on his back showing his vent feathers.

I would say it was mature because if it wad pied/golden it would have costed a hell of a lot more

hi everyone, i was wondering if $895 is expensive for a young sun conure at a local pet shop i am so tempted cause its the cutiest conure i have seen it will lay on its back, wave with one leg, play dead , and play hide and seek. i was talking to the shop assistant about the bird and how it learnt the tricks and she said it was bloody stupid and that is why no one wants to buy it , i personally think its not the bird its the price that is making the bird not so attractive if only my dad would let me get it i would its such a character, also what would be a ideal cage size for it with pleanty of room for it to move and to hang some toys etc thanks

Hi Kenny, yep that would be about the right price for a pet shop sun conure. As Frank said we do have 2 for sale but they are about 4 years old and no where near as entertaining as the pet shop one sounds. We are in Melbourne and we don' freight.
