Hi everyone this is my sisters cockatiel stardust.Just a question does anyone know what mutation she is?. Can birds eat pear halfs and apricot halfs that are in a can?.  Stardust is in the same cage as angel julie said if we keep holding them they won't go wild. There both Hens so they won't be breeding.

So cute..she is a white face pearl....and no you cannot give them stuff with sugar in it...I dont think teils would eat them any ways..They are not big fruit eaters...

Thanks Nat so what vegies and fruit will they eat. I have given angel carrot,cauliflower,and carrots but she wouldn't touch them or even look at them.

About the only fruit that I find they will eat is some apple...She mite like some celery,silverbeet,all the chinese veges...corn,peas,carrots,beans...You will just have to try her one different things...They some time will not eat the at first...and you will have to find all different ways of serving as well....If I give my teils apple choped up.They will not eat it..But if I push it thru the wire in slices they will...LOL birds...

Natalie is right about the fruit, no suger or preservatives. You will find they are not big fruit eaters but do like apple, not the core as the seeds are poisen and are full of arsnick or cyanide one of them nasties. They do like 9 grain bread and mine get a slice a day. Thats one attractive bird your sister has there very nice indeed.
