Vicki she is a lovely alexandrine. Does the hen alexandrine make a good tame pet. I have handreared males and females but never kept any for a pet. I have found the hens are a bit nippy at about 11 weeks of age do they lose that.

hi yes they make amazing companions both the males and the females but all birds can nip i think people just need to realise they are birds lol alot of misguided people seem to think you can turn a bird into a kitten but birds are birds and they respect us if we recpect them , but yes id recommend an alex as a companion any day
