I have always called them diamond doves Jeremy, I dont know whether they have another name or not but the are just about the same as the wild doves around here but about a third of the size they are so tiny and compact, not worth anything in fact I think i got Mum and Dad from a pet shop for $2 each.

As you can see from the picture Bill the adult birds are not all that much bigger that the babies if you compare them in size to the cut throat finch in the picture or the little orange breasted finch. John

No problems with the finches Bill the one close by the Dove is a male Orange breast there is a male Corden on the perch below a couple of cut throat's a pair of cuban's a pair of green singers a pair of painted finches and a couple more. I keep them just to look at and dont try to breed with them.
