Very nice indeed Shawn. Muareen Blair has great tiels, so you have got yourself a beauty, well done. The spangle is a beautiful bird in the tiels. Cheers Anna

A well known breeder swears to me that the the Olives have derived from the Spangles and when you look at this bird you do see a resemblance he is currently placing a spangle to an olive so will be interested to see the outcome! He also mentioned that he has a Cinnamon Olive and when placed beside a Pastel Silver look very identical so will be interesting to see what develops in the future! And I must say Shawn I agree with Leeroy that the bird at this stage looks like a hen and is definitely carrying Pied There has been a lot of discussion about fertility with hens prior to 4yrs of age so lets hope your bird is fertile and gives you promising results cheers Frank

Thanks Anna, Leeroy and Frank, For your advice on my new spangle cockatiel, He was sold to me as a cockbird, and I pretty sure it is, On the way he is displaying himself to the other birds, I had a look under his wing, And he has no spots, He is only 7 months old, When I get my camera back, I will take a better photo of him, His colour is different to my other spangle birds I have and on his chest area it is real greeny looking, Since having the spangle's I often wonder if the so called Olive is a yellow suffused Spangle, Just a thought!!
