I spoke too soon Laraine, she was attacked again. She is inside now petrified again with wing wounds, obviously from trying to get away from him. She is ok for now, in bad shock. She won't be going outside again.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that she was attacked again. Hopefully she's feeling better now. Its certainly not worth letting her go outside, even though she enjoys it.

She keeps on being attacked by a brown Goshawk and the bugger wont leave her alone. The first time she was attacked it came back 4 more times that afternoon to get at her and the last time it even got on out verandah! No mean feat seeing as we wired 99% of the thing to keep cats out. It must have got thru the 25cm gap at the roof where it pitches up. This time she was attacked her very large cage was under the clothes line which has a gazebo cover on it and it managed to find her. She hates going out on the grass now, hates outside and panacks if you put her on the grass. Her cage is now under the house ( we are in a high set) And she sit's with my Scarlet parrots all day. The scarlets are under there to protect them from cats (we wired up under the house, cost us a fortune to cat proof this place) and the weather. But she sleeps inside of a night time still and for a small handful of a bird she makes so much noise!
