The Plumheads look like Ringnecks, are they in the same species?

Very nice Bev. I luv the different colors, very nice looking birds. Do you know what their temperament are like as birds go, like are the quiet or noisy, gentle or aggressive. Cheers Anna

Hi Anna, They are very quiet or at least these are, and quite friendly I have read they make good hand raised pets but haven't heard of anyone having them. If I get some young I will raise one and see what it's like. They are Asiatics so I guess a little bit like r/necks and Aelexandrines but not as vocal. Certainly very colourful. Regards Bev

They make great pets. I have raised a few of these guys. They also can talk. They do make great aviarys birds. You never hear them. But they have been known to kill there young at two weeks old. Not all of them do this.
