Great pics Mummybird. The play gyms are just awesome & you have 3 very spoilt birds LOL. As to the sex of your tiel, mmmm how old is it, as often this is the only way to tell by how it behaves. Sometimes you can tell by the wing spots under the feathers but this is not foolproof. I would take a guess & say it is a male. Cheers Anna

I love the play gyms - where did you get them - especially the one with the steps and stuff on it.
Please tell me that your hubby or someone didn't make them...............my hubby can't hammer two pieces of wood together let alone build something like that.

Hi Mummybird, very hard to sex a baby tiel at this age & I wish I could help you more. All you can do is observe its behavior as he/she gets older as males will start to make a very distinctive call. Try teaching it to wolf whistle as male tiels are great whistlers. Females can but they are a lot more harder to teach, while male tiels seem to pick it up very easily. The only other thing I have found when I h/rear my baby tiels is that the females tend to be a lot more cuddlier & stay with you & males just want to explore & never sit still & come for cuddles when they feel like it LOL. Cheers Anna

awwwwwww, maybe he is a she.... each morning i just open up his cage and within 5 mins he is running towards me for a cuddle...and a good head scratch. and everytime i put him down and leave the room he comes running down the halls way looking in each door to find me... and he spends all day with me except when i keep putting him back in his cage every hour or so to give him time to eat and drink... that usually doesnt last long befor he is running down the halls again.. thanx for the info.
