Hi All, There's always some surprises isn't there when you breed birds. Guess that's what makes it so much fun ;D ;D This little guy is the only chicken to hatch from a clutch of 3. I thought Dad was Opaline/ Lutino and mum was lutino. So tell me what I've got here ?? Looks like either Mum or Dad is also split blue ? Cheers Viraba

What a beautiful Baby! Does he go off at you for disturbing him/her? Mine never shut up when I look at them. So pretty.

Very cute baby, doesn't look to have lutino in it though. My red rumps aren't breeding very well at all this year.

I only had one pair of my red rumps breed this year so far Laraine so your not on your own there but at least one of them was a lutino hen the other was a split male. I was hoping for my Lutino male and Lutino hen would breed but no go ......oh well maybe next season.

Maybe its the weather or something. My proven hen who had 2 clutches last year sat on 3 eggs for 3 weeks and then they disappeared. Her daughter has been sitting on 3 eggs for about 4 weeks, but nothing. Don't go there with my Opalines.
