A friend found this bird today and i know i have seen a pic of this bird before but not sure on the name?? Thanks in advance.   |

Looks like a juvenile King Parrot to me! Probably not long out of the nest!just keep an eye out that it is feeding on its own!  Frank |

Yes Young King Parrot was my thought too!! Try to give it some chopped up fruit and you'll soon see if it can eat by itself.
Where you found it maybe you could see if there's a nest around. Maybe the parents are still hanging around.

it's a young male, older than 6 months. the red is starting to come up the chest and the beak is coloured up. It may be someones pet, do it's wings look like they may have been clipped?
