This is Ranger.....he was all on his own...you see about six days ago, we had severe storms and wind, and on inspecting the nest boxes the next morning I found that three little guys had perished in the night thru the parents taking flight .....only one was left, he was cold and hungry and very inactive, I warmed him up and gave him a good feed and fostered him out to the other nest box of 4...this is him now. Thought you all might like to see the lucky little tike. ;D

What a lucky little fella he is Deb. I'm sure the other tiels will take very good care of him as I have fostered out young bubs before to other tiel parents with no problems. I hate bloody storms, especially when you have birds on eggs or babies that have just hatched, scares the poor buggers, and they often leave the nest box. Hope all goes well for this little bloke and you will need to post a pic as he get older. ;D ;D Cheers Anna

Awwww he is just gorgeous Deb, well done. My first tiel that I h/reared this season was like that, very dark on the wings almost black looking. I wonder if it has something to do with the cinnamon part as my tiels mum was a cinnamon and the dad a w/face split for cinnamon and pearl. Whatever the reason he was just a gorgeous bird and it was very hard for me to part with him, but he is now with some very nice caring people. Cheers Anna

I love him Deb he is the same colouring as my white face babies, the last of that lot went to Anna's nephew and from all reports he is a beautifully bird. We kept one of them, or should i say Noelene did, and they really turn into pretty looking birds, Looks like Ranger is going to be a winner great job in saving him.
