Hi. My name is Claire and I have been an addict since as long as I can remember. Addicted to birds that is

At the moment I have Cockatiels, Superb Parrots, King Quails and Rock Parrots. In the past I've also had zebras, budgies, double-bars, bourkes, red-rumps and a rainbow lorikeet. We only moved into our brand new house last year so once the rest of the aviaries are set up I hope to get (in the next 12 months) golden-shoulders, spinifex pigeon, red-caps and some softbills.
I have a Certificate in Applied Science (Ornithology) and a Grad Dip in Ornithology, of which my favourite topics were the conservation of Psittaciformes and captive avian management.
I have no kids, 1 husband (defacto) and 2 cats - a lovely main coon x and her son, a chocolate point burmese cross. At the moment I work in an office, but I do some contract ornithology work on the side. I am also the Editor for the WA Avicultural Magazine which I am really loving doing.
I am really enjoying this forum and meeting all the people here. Big thanks to John for organising it all - its a fantastic forum!!
