Hi Everyone,
I'm not really mad, I just love birdkeeping, have done scince I was 10 years old, and have kept birds from that age.
I live in Kempsey, N.S.W. I keep about 300 birds and I am forever adding more. Thats why they say I'm mad. Currently I have 20 aviaries with another 5 under construction and my bird collection includes Finches, Budgies, Canaries, African Lovebirds, Neophemas and some larger Parrots - Princess, a pair of Cloncurrys that hate the sight of one-another, a pair of Quakers that love each other but won't breed and various others.
I spend far far too much money on birds, as I bet you all do, I can't work anymore because of a back injury so I get to spend a lot of time with my birds. So I'm lucky in a way.
I'm quite happy to help anyone with questions about their birds, I beleive if you have experince or knowlarge about birds ,you should share it.
This is a great forum, congrat's John, with very friendly people and I'm happy to be a part of it.
Thats all for now.
Tony

We are all classified as 'mad' by our non-birding friends so I have just learned to live with the tag!!!LOL That is another reason this forum is so good cos we all can be mad together and only other birding people can understand the joy in seeing an egg in a nestbox or feel the pain when a day-old chick doesn't make it! My friends all look at me like I am insane and usually say 'but its just an egg'!...they have no idea what treasures that tiny thing may contain! Look forward to hearing more from you and sharing some of your knowledge. Welcome aboard! Jo-Anne
