My name is Marian, I live on the South East Coast of NSW. I am a wildlife carer and I rescue anything native, I rehabilitate & raise birds, possums and Gliders. I have my own personal birds - Cockateils and Rosellas - Crimsons, Easterns, Westerns, Pale Headed and one Yellow Rosella. I have aviaries and hubby Barry built me smaller cages on our veranda as the birds didn't like being down underneath house in aviaries(I know that sounds stupid) they wanted to be up so they can see us. Some of them talk and whistle tunes and I love them all. Everyone I know thinks I am stupid but I love the birds and all the wildlife I get in. They are so much nicer than people.....most of the time. I have a Fan Tail Cuckoo in care at the moment(which I'll be releasing tomorrow, 2 Crimson Rosellas, 3 Brushtail Possums (babies) and 2 Sugar Gliders(one has a broken wrist). This site seems very good and with people who love their birds just as much as I do. I am looking forward to knowing you.

Frank I will be sure to try to get on here everyday if I can. I have been looking around and it looks very interesting. Just finding the time can be a little difficult at times as it is baby bird season and they will be coming in soon. I'll keep coming on here and checking. Thanks Marian

Hi Marian, welcome to the forum, love to hear that you are a wildlife carer.......and I know what it's like to have your pets close to you, my hubby says no more tiels in the lounge room LOL, he can't hear the Telly, but like you I just love them to bits and the more the better.......oh and we live in NSW as well, in the Wollongong area.
