I'm just new to this forum. I had to join as Featherz looks like she'll be getting an eclectus from one of the members here. I've got a pet cockatiel and 2 pet budgies. They share a cage. ;D In one aviary we've got a pair of tiels and a pair of budgies and a second aviary has 3 pairs of budgies. Looking forward to chatting with all of you and many healthy birdy babies.

Karma (my cockatiel) is the tiel that was lost wearing the flight suit and lanyard on Anzac day. He had three nights out in the wild before someone taking him home for the 4th night and we were reuinited on the 5th day. I notice a listing also for a cockatiel that was lost a day earlier than mine from Doncaster. We both turned up hoping that Karma was our baby and we both thought he was ours.
Happily he is my little darling.
I really hope Stevie found his way home. I have left a couple of phone messages but have not had a reply.

Thanks for the warm welcome. If you're at Tullamarine you might be the breeder of my last cockatiel. Got him about 4 years ago.

My lips are sealed. Unfortunately that tiel only lived for 4 months. Was a little sick and the vet we took him to treated him but I did not get the message that he had to go back in 2 weeks. When I collected him I asked to speak to the vet but they refused and told me there was no need. 3 weeks later I took him back but was too late. Needless to say I have a new vet now.

He was a beautiful pied cock. So tame. They keep the babies in the kitchen with cages one upon the other, lol. He was soooo cuddly. I guess Karma is so cuddly now though. He hates to leave me. He loves to come on the motorbike with me.

Our new vet doesn't know whether it's great or cruel. He hasn't seen how much he enjoys it though. ;D

I'm having a bad run with tiels too. Karma's not the healthiest tiel. He does such runny messy poops. He really thinks he's a lorikeet. The vet has him on a pellet diet which he's now accepting but it hasn't helped him much. Oh well, we hope..............

Hi Suzy & a very big welcome from me. Heard all about your tiel from Jo as we chat on msn & I am so happy that you got Karma back, you are one very lucky lady. Glad you found this forum & hope that you will like it here. Lots of nice caring people, with great advise. Cheers Anna Thanks for that Anna. I was so upset when Karma disappeared. My poor baby. He's such a sook I don't think he coped at all. 3 nights in the wild and one night at someone's house. All up he lost 12g so he couldn't have eaten at all except for the last night. He was found sitting in the middle of a footpath with peeps walking dogs around him trying to get to him. Someone got him to step up and put him on a fence for safety (yeah right). The guy that took him home called him from across the road and eventually he flew to him (he hates flying). Anyway I was soooo relieved to get him back. I am still wondering about the tiel that was lost a day earlier from Doncaster. I see that's listed here also. The owner turned up at the same time and we were both convinced that Karma was our bird. Karma was very quiet for the first 5 days but then started carrying on as normal and saying hello Harmony, hello Karma etc. Phew.
