Hi, im new obviously and from Adelaide Since moving into my boyfriend's grannyflat (up the back from his parents house) I have become bird crazy!! I balme his parents for having a massive avery along the back fence (and soon to be extended again). We have too many birds to name at the moment. I used to hate birds until my boyfriend bought home a little runt budgie that his sister could no longer keep (originally from our avery). He is so adorable and is spoilt with his massive cage! A tiny budgie was the perfect bird to start with and I am now expecting a hand reared blue Quaker (monk parakeet) to arrive by frieght Monday. I have never had anyting but my budgie in the flat so its going to be....erm.....different But thats enough about me for the moment, and if anyone has any good Quaker tips let me know

Hello! I'd love to have a quaker too! they are so very popular because of their easy going nature! You'll love it here, the place is full of bird nuts that have been there for a lot longer than some others. These guys are a wealth of knowledge and great to know! Enjoy Amanda
