I found this forum from a link on Billspets, who is a member of another forum I have joined.
I've just spent about an hour looking around, and think I should have a great time with you bunch of lunatics!
So, now for the introduction, and I know the important thing is my birds! I am owned by a female rainbow lorikeet, who definately runs my house. She is a rescue bird, and is in love with, and lays eggs for, my 14 year old son who is now known as the 'Love God'
I have many zebra finches, which I have been successfully breeding for many years, not that you need to do a lot - I've had them breed in seed containers before lol!
I have some gouldian finches which I am spectacularly unsuccessful at getting to breed.
3 pairs of canaries, that I would like to breed.
1 pair of cockatiels that I would like to breed.
14 budgies - 6 of which are the babies of my first clutch! I have an aviary with the tiels and 5 budgies in, which is where these were born (3 other budgies live inside). 1 pair of budgies laid dud eggs, the other threesome laid 6. Yes, these babies have 2 daddies, both of whom feed the babies and the tarty mummy. The tiels stand guard outside the nest box when I'm near the aviary, and yesterday the oldest baby who has just fledged, hid in the other nest box, being guarded ferociously by the other hen, when I went in to check the babies! So, I have a very loving and co-operative community in one aviary!
Well, that's the important stuff about me, now I must go and look at some more posts!
