I am new to this forum and also to birds. We started of with one (ONE I tell ya) budgie which started a addiction to the feathered friends. Now we have 2 budgies, a whole heap of assorted lovebirds/masked/Fischer's, a galah, a ring-neck, 2 adult rainbow lorikeets and a baby which I am attempting to hand rear. If I knew that birds could bring so much joy and be so comical at times I would have them earlier. Most of the birds live outside in their aviary's but the ring-neck and baby lorikeet live in the lounge, and the budgies on top of the fridge. I look forward to reading and hopefully writing posts and most of all meeting friendly people. Thanks 2many

Hi 2many, & a very big welcome to the forum. Yep birds are certainly very addicted but the pleasure & joy they bring is certainly worth it. I started with budgies & oh well down the track I have quite a few different kinds of birds now, but tiels are still my main passion. Sounds like you have a great collection & looking forward to hearing more about them. Cheers Anna

My next door neighbour has teils and I am waiting for a baby from her mother inlaw. Thaey are special birds, she has one named Harry and soon as anyone walks through the door he flies over to greet them, can be a shock if your not expecting him.
