Hi everyone Have had a little look around your forum and it seems like a lovely place to wile away the spare moments online. I am completely out of my depth though and am feeling a little overwhelmed. I got my first bird yesterday (a handreared cockatiel), and although completely smitten I sure have a lot to learn. I'm feeling a little bit more confident now I have found somewhere to ask questions though! This is the first pet for our family (Husband and boys 5 and 7) and I'm anxiously hoping it continues as well as it has started.

Welcome Tamara. I have a hand raised Tiel - Dad gave him to us. He is certainly part of the family and is out every single night without fail. He loves the attention and is just the cheekiest thing. You will find out soon enough how lovable they can be.
Have fun looking around and ask as many questions as you like.
