But you must know a breeder or something.............they don't just happen in the wild??? Especially the macaws here in Australia. Just for curiosity........how much are hyacinths here do you know. Someone I spoke to recently told me they know of someone who had one at least for sale for $3000. Much too cheap I reckon.

I don't know a breeder i do alot of work at the Adelaide zoo, As far as i know these birds are not being bred in Australia i think there a 6 Hyacinth (2 in Zoo) and 5 Palm (4 in Zoo). Do not try and buy a Hyacinth Macaw anyone, it doesnt happen, you dont want to get scammed, there are many scams at the moment. and any were for sale expect about $35000 i wil get palm cocky pic today!

Yes I told these people the same thing. I told them if there was a hyacinth for sale, why would they be selling it cheaper than a B & G macaw or cheaper than a hahns macaw. I also told them that if they were to advertise it for even $15,000 it would be snapped up and very cheap still.
You are very lucky to be able to work at a zoo. Do you still go to school??
