Hi I'm Minna I haven't been around for very long but here are my two sillies. This is Sora ('sky'): He's around four or five months old, from what I can tell. I picked him up from a pet store about two months ago, and I was extremely lucky -he's incredibly tame, good-natured and talkative. He was overclipped at the pet store I bought him from, so he drops with the grace of your average stone . That doesn't stop him from trying when he wants to, though. His favourite past-times are finding seed in the ratty old carpet, swinging around on his lattice balls and jumping back and forth between my shoulder and chair back. This is Akira ('intelligent'): He just came home with me earlier today :3 a bit over a month and a half old. The peeps he makes remind me a little of morse code, and he's completely adorable -he spent some time exploring the room, then decided it was time to tangle himself in my hair and see if he could get away with sitting on top of my head (that would be a no! ) I spent most of the day agonising over a name, after all the ones I'd been going through before he arrived just didn't seem appropriate. xD

Never fear I'll win worst names hands down, I have Stumpy and Scalpy (due to injuries) and some misnamed cockatiels from when I was new to birds and pet shops sold me girls as boys and vice-versa, Keith & Herbie the 'tiel hens and Stephanie the 'tiel cock. The names stuck it's too late to change now. And I just aquired 2 Suberb cocks who are called Mr & Mrs Brown (absolutely no idea how the previous owners picked that)

Eee thank you all They're such sweetlings :3 He was nearly so many different names. But there weren't any names that matched Sora that I liked, and he just didn't feel like an Arashi. Yeah, they're so friendly, the both of them. Sora frequently gets passed over to visitors who're making that "oh my god he's so preeeeeeeeeetty" face, because he doesn't care where he is so long as he's well fed. Well, also because if he gets at all nippy it won't hurt anybody, and because he's overclipped he's easy to catch if he decides to go running about the loungeroom. (Although I just noticed a flight feather grew back in !!) I'll be sure to put more pics up once we get our digital camera working Haha, I'm worse than a parent with a new baby, I swear.

Because I totally forgot to explain that one: Arashi means 'storm', and was in place for a good few hours. But it just didn't feel right for some reason :C Sora, Akira and Arashi are all japanese words/names
