I'm so thrilled to have found this forum. ;D

Last night I took in a short billed Corella. The owners could no longer care for him/her. I call him 'him', because that's the easiest for me.

I have tried searching on the net, but can only find basic info of this species as a pet.

Do they get aggressive as they get older and sexual mature?

How well do they get along with other birds? I have several:

• Duke - Green Cheek Conure
  
• Charlie - Sun Conure
  
• Shrek - Quaker
  
• Sam - Cockatiel
  
• Teeko - Cockatiel
  
• Billy - Bugie
  

The bird's name is Elvis, which I would like to change to Cory. I find it difficult calling him Elvis - maybe if he was a black cockatoo

Corella's can be quite bitey from experience but like everything love and affection goes a long way.....well mostly

Please send us some pics of the baby...what have you decided to call him/her?

I have no experience with Corellas either, only a galah and 2 sulfers. But the ones I have seen have been real clowns. Welcome and I can't wait to hear more about you and your "family"

Hi and welcome Lene. A lot of cockatoos can get a bit aggressive at breeding time but usually settle down again. Sounds like you're well used to birds with your little flock so I'm sure with love and attention he'll be a wonderful companion.
