I'm Lina and I live in Sydney, Australia. I joined this bird forum because I don't know much about birds and I thought this place would be best for my learning. I have never owned birds in my whole life but my grandparents have a cockatiel. I, myself have 3 girl guinea pigs. I've also got a thread called A bird cage and a question and I hope someone could answer it for me! Thank you and bye for now!

I have answered that thread for you Lina, but others probably will too. ;D
Welcome to our forum. I know you will learn a lot by being here and hopefully have some fun in the meantime also. We have some great people here with various amounts of knowledge and experience.
Look forward to hearing more about you and whatever birdie you decide to buy.
Oh and in my reply to your thread about the cage..........if you want a bird to handle and play with and interact with that will fit in your cage, then a budgie or lovebird/peachface or even maybe a 'cockatiel" (I say that carefully about the tiel because I am just worried about the size of the cage) would make better pets than a canary. But if you go for the canary, then a male canary would be best as their singing is absolutely beautiful. Oh and make sure if you get a parrot type bird that it is a very young one and handraised as they are easier to tame and train. Try to buy from a breeder if possible. I just checked where you come from and we have a few breeders from Sydney on this forum.......so maybe ................. ;D
