Why do my budgies like to rub themselves all over with the carrot and celery I feed them, they just about turn themselves inside out to get it all over them, they have a bath every day otherwise all my whites are orange from the carrot, why do they do this?

All budgies do the same thing, they will especially do it to something that is wet like spinach leaves of endive, I think it is something to do with the moisture on the vegies and the smell, but they all do it.
