I have found the same thing Frank they love their vegies and sprouted seed however they won't touch any fruit other than Apple. The Budgies on the other hand will eat most fruits.

What I've found is that it's pretty hard to change a diet if it's what they're used to. I have a pair of Rosa Burkes that won't touch fruit/ veg at all however, their young just love it because it was available at the time they fully fledged so they now see it as 'normal food'. Mum & Dad still won't touch it even when they're in the same avairy.........funny things.
I have had some success with red-rumps by reducing the seed pretty dramtically as I was introducing the fruit and vegies.....same system didn't work with the Rosa's though........... I started by placing some fruit bits in the seed bowl. The red-rumps still won't eat much that too acidy like grape or citrus but love the apples/ pear and corn on the cob. They play with the empty cob for days.
You may have some success with these ideas
Cheers
