I have been feeding my Budgies starter food for around a month now and It seems to be working I have 14 eggs at the moment all hens are sitting in the nests incubating the eggs, looks promising.

It was a commercial brand of starter food Tony and it is the consistacy of egg and biscuit mix. you mix it with water to crumbly consistancy, not too wet, and give it to the birds in a seperate dish. I also fed it to my Love Birds and it seemed to do the trick there too.

Well it looks like the eggs are starting to hatch at the moment there are 4 eggs hatched three of them are bieng looked after by a nice little fallow hen. It is her first clutch and she is doing a good job with them at the moment,Dad is a pied so it will be interesting to see how the babies colour up.

Hi John i think you wil find that all chicks will be at least green and if dad is a doublefactor pied then some will be pied too all will wbe split fallow and pied Frank

My budgies are all breeding at the moment as well. I'm curious, what colour is split fallow.
