One of my last batch of babies had a white feathered patch on the back of his head about 2mm wide. Now one of the babies from the second batch to the same parents has the same patch. Has anyone had this happen to them before. It seems that it might be an hereditary thing. The parents are both blue normals.

Hi laraine i think you will find that they are tick markings and means that one or both of the parents carries the pied gene. cheers

The white patch on the back of the head Laraine tells you that the bird is a dominant pied.
