yesterday we bought a budgie he is 6 mths or older could someone please help with tips on hand feeding an older bird cheers nathan and susan

All i can say is good luck Nathan. I have to ask why you are hand feeding a budgie at that age, 6 months old it should be well and truly weaned.

Why am i ? Becuase the budgie has not eaten or has drunk anything since i got him on yesterday . and has a lump under its wing .

Sounds like you have a problem there Nathan. I wouldn't hold much hope of hand feeding a bird of that age however if you have a spoon you may be able to get it to eat something, try mixing some hand raising mix with a little apple sauce ( baby food ) or you could try some electrolytes to stop the bird from becoming dehydrated. If the bird has a lump under the wing then I would suggest you get it to a avian vet for a check up, I would also be having a chat to the person that sold you the bird .
