Baby, my 11 year old budgie is dying. Actually he was bred by my son who gave him to my daughter when she was growing up. I know he has had a good life, but I'm feeling kind of sad.

It's not fair that they die Laraine they should live for ever.

Think of all the happy times and rejoice in knowing that 11 years is a huge innings for a little budgie. Thinking of you and sending big hugs

He nearly had a much shorter life. Six years ago I was cleaning his cage outside and put my hand in and out he flew. Off he went over the tree tops, then about half an hour later he came back into the yard pursued by 2 magpies, one which had hold of his tail feathers. He finally dropped down into the yard next door. I ran in next door, luckily they are friends, and caught him up with a towel, minus all his tail feathers. He was a lucky boy.

It's memories like those that make you realise how lucky you were to have them in your life Laraine, I'll bet you have many more.
