One of my first baby budgies that came from my birds was deformed, he had crooked feet, but could still get around reasonably well. when I took him out of the aviary I had he was out of the nest, but i put him in a cage inside anyway so the other birds could not hurt him.............I was only 14/15 at the time. He was a lovely little bird but only lived for a few months, I am guessing he had more wrong with him than what I could see. It broke my heart. I hope all is well with your little fellow and would love to see pics also.

I'm so sorry to hear that Rach it happens some times and there is just nothing you can do about it, the baby obviously had a lot more wrong than was evident.
